I pledge to Nigeria my country

It is sad the way Nigeria is been hated  I said these due yo the Olympic fake gold medalist winning fight, I don't know if am the only one that notice the way that referee treated our national identity. Our pride, that was so outrageous and a total lack of respect to a national flag. For no reason should that white referee throw away any nations national identity that act was absolutely an abomination and I stand as a Nigerian with the diplomatic rights of the ruling laws of my Nigerian constitution to stand up to my right and say know to that act of disregard to my right.  As such  I request that referee should be charged to international human rights court to pay for his damage on Nigeria as a diplomatic nation under indepence. 5 die as soldiers, policemen clash over girlfriend in Damaturu

DAMATURU—a  clash between soldiers and policemen over a girlfriend left four mobile police officers and one soldier dead  in Damaturu, Yobe State capital, yesterday, with several others injured. Among the wounded mobile police officer is Buba Dauda, the Mobile Commander in Yobe State, whose abduction by the soldiers in the wee hours of yesterday triggered the face-off between the two security agencies. Vanguard gathered from sources that the clash resulted from a misunderstanding that erupted between a serving Army Captain and some mobile policemen over a girlfriend the military officer allegedly snatched from a mobile policeman. The situation did not go down well with the policeman, who mobilised his colleagues to beat the Captain comatose. On hearing what happened to their colleague, some soldiers stormed the residence of the police team’s boss in the area in two patrol vans and took him to an unknown destination. Ogun State: NLC members walks out of May day celebration

ABEOKUTA-Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun on Monday  announced the pardon of three out of the remaining four workers earlier dismissed for an alleged misconduct during the World Teachers Day celebration in October last year. Announcing the pardon in his address at the event to mark the workers Day, governor Amosun said, “the dismissed workers are pardoned, they will now proceed on retirement from the public service with full terminal benefits in accordance with the extant public service regulations.” Those affected by the pardon are Messrs Dare Ilekoya, Eniola Atiku and Nola Balogun, while the state Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Akeem Ambali was left out in the pardon. The Oba of Lagos, His Royal Majesty Oba Rilwan Akiolu has cleared the air on the video in the social media being misconstrued for Oba of Lagos snubbing the Ooni of Ife, His Royal Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi at a public function in Lagos. One of the white cap chiefs, Lateef Aderibigbe Ajose, Opeluwa Onido of Lagos, said the Lagos Monarch did not ignore Ooni of Ife at the public function as being misconceived by people. Nimet predicts heavy down pour on tuesday

Abuja – The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather condition over the central states of the country on Tuesday, with chances of localised thunderstorms over Ibi and Mambilla during the morning hours. NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Monday in Abuja, also predicted localised thunderstorms over the high ground areas later in the day. It added that the central states would have day and night temperatures of 31 to 38 and 18 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively. The agency predicted morning cloudiness with chances of localised thunderstorms over the southern states, with day and night temperatures of 31 to 35 and 20 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively. It also predicted evening/night localised thunderstorms over coastal cities of Port Harcourt, Calabar, Yenagoa, Akure, Ado Ekiti, Benin, Warri, Oshogbo, Owerri, Enugu, Awka and Abakaliki.
