The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has declared Musiliu Obanikoro as unfit to be a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in view of what it called “the prominent role” he played in the Ekiti state election scandal which was recently exposed by Captain Sagir Koli. The students made their position known yesterday during a protest they staged in Ikeja, the Lagos state capital. Remembering the sad tale of the "ALUU4" ordeal

Jungle justice can be defined as the capital punishment meted out by individuals without any legal authority on a suspected individual. This form of justice has occurred frequently in Africa where people still believe in the old method of taking justice into their own hands, for sometimes petty crimes. Everyday only in Nigeria, someone is killed by jungle justice, the nation is said to have the  highest rate in Africa. On October 5, 2012 four promising students of University of Port Harcourt, Chiadika Biringa, Lloyde Toku Mike, Tekena Elkanah and Ugonna Obuzor, all first sons of their parents were killed without any justification on accusation of being cultists and thieves. The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign organisation on Wednesday urged the South-West to ignore President Goodluck Jonathan’s repeated promises to implement the National Conference report. This was contained in a statement by the director of media and publicity of the campaign, Malam Garba Shehu.  Wuse Zone 6 Senior Magistrates court, Abuja yesterday said that the criminal case brought against Nigerian boxer, Bash Ali, and four other accused persons will hold on April 2. Bash Ali has was jailed alongside Gabriel Ikyowe ; Timothy Ugbede; Daniel Otoski and Jones Ebele. Bash Ali Bash has however met all the demands for bail but has refused to leave jail. They were arraigned on Febraury 19th on a six count charge of joint act of abetment, criminal trespass, and obstruction in public way.
