13 Ships With Petroleum Products Berth In Lagos Port

Thirteen ships laden with petrol, base oil, bulk gas and aviation fuel have arrived and waiting to berth in Lagos ports.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication on Wednesday in Lagos.
The document indicated that 28 ships were expected to arrive the ports from Jan. 6 to Jan. 21.

According to the document, 11 of the expected ships are to sail in with containers while four others will bring in general cargoes.
It said that five ships would sail in with frozen fish, buckwheat and rice while the remaining eight ships would sail in with petrol.
There are hopes this would help to cushion the effect of fuel scarcity in the country.
Meanwhile, the federal government has removed subsidy on petrol. Ibe Kachikwu, the minister for state of petroleum resources said the removal of oil subsidy may not affect the pump price of premium motor spirit (PMS
