Peterside Boasts Of Party Preparedness For Election Re-run

Dr Dakuku Peterside, the governorship candidate for the All Progressives Congress in the 2015 general election, has boasted of his party’s preparedness for the forthcoming Rivers state election re-run.
Dakuku Peterside says the APC is prepared for the Rivers state election re-run.
The Punch reports that Peterside has assured that his party was ready for the rerun of elections annulled by the appeal court.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared that it was making arrangements to conduct 78 rerun elections in some parts of the country.
However, 38 out of the 78 reruns will be held in Rivers state as the appeal court had nullified some House of Assembly and National Assembly elections held in the state in 2015.
Specifically, the court had ordered that fresh elections should be conducted to determine who would occupy the 24 seats in the state House of Assembly, and 12 seats in the federal House of Representatives.
Ahead of the elections, Peterside has said that . In his words: “I am telling you today  that we will reclaim our stolen mandate, believe me, in the next 31 days tsunami will visit Rivers State PDP. We are not afraid if there is a re-run today Rivers state we look out for the best, they will look out for change in infrastructure, development and change in empowerment.”
